Male Dog aged Adult.
Chadwick is a handsome Siberian Husky estimated to be around 3 years old who is searching for an active, committed home. He arrived at the shelter on December 18, 2025, as a stray from Schuyler with Nova. Chadwick is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, and microchipped.
Chadwick has high energy, which is common for Siberian Huskies. Siberian Huskies were originally bred to work and travel long distances in cold, harsh climates, so they often need more daily exercise and mental enrichment than the average dog. Activities like long walks, hiking, training sessions, puzzle toys, and structured play can help keep them happy and fulfilled. Without enough outlets, they may become bored or frustrated.
He appears to do well with other dogs and children. Chadwick is unknown with cats, though we believe he may do best in a home without cats. Siberian Huskies have a strong prey-drive, which means they may be more likely to chase smaller animals. Careful introductions and management are always important.
He has had potty and poop accidents while with us, so continued house-training support may be needed. This is not uncommon in a shelter setting, where stress, schedule changes, and limited routine can affect housetraining habits. Many dogs improve once they settle into a consistent home environment.
Potential adopters should also know that Siberian Huskies are intelligent, social, and independent. They can be vocal dogs and may "talk" through howls or other sounds. They are also known for being talented escape artists, so secure fencing, leash safety, and supervision are especially important.
If you are prepared for the time, exercise, and commitment that Chadwick needs, he may be the perfect companion for you! His adoption fee is $100.
