Meet Sophia 🐾
Sophia is a 5-year-old spayed Chihuahua/Dachshund mix who was returned to us again through no fault of her own. At this point, Sophia needs an adopter who understands that she has behavioral challenges and is willing to put in the time, patience, and consistency she requires.
Sophia is wary of new people and does not warm up quickly. She can be reactive, has a strong personality, and absolutely comes with attitude. She is not the type of dog who will immediately trust strangers, and anyone interested in her needs to understand that building a relationship with Sophia will take time and work.
She does have sass and can be difficult at times, but once she becomes comfortable and learns to trust you, she shows a sweet side and can be very entertaining—especially when she does her little dance for treats or walks 🐶✨
Sophia needs an experienced home that will continue working with her behavior and respect her boundaries. She would do best as the only pet in the home and requires children to be over the age of 7.
This is not a beginner dog. Sophia needs someone committed to giving her structure, patience, and the chance she deserves.
